Choose a body the Grid can index: human, hybrid, engineered, synthetic, ghost-marked, animal-derived, or war-built. Your origin changes more than your silhouette. It shapes durability, speed, neural load, social pressure, and what kind of future the city thinks you are allowed to have.

Most bodies are legal somewhere. Several are illegal everywhere and tolerated anyway. A few will get you reclassified on sight by Central Stack, the Redline Clinic, or whoever has a free moment and a baton.

Human

Humans remain the template Sector 0 uses to price everybody else. Baseline does not mean untouched. Stims, debt medicine, pollution, and inherited trauma all count as ordinary here.

A human can pass through more doors before anyone asks why, which is both privilege and bait. Their strength is social reach: families, guilds, offices, grudges, and the dangerous ability to look like the default.
